Java Framework

In collaboration with LM Software GmbH, Remedy IT has created an application development framework for building WEB-enabled, distributed transaction processing applications based on the Java development platform.

This application development environment is based on open and standardised techniques such as:

• the open, platform-independent Java development environment;

• Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) for an open and platform/implementation-independent communication method;

• eXtended Markup Language (XML) for displaying and exchanging structured data;

• Java DataBase Connection (JDBC) for accessing relational database systems;

• Java Servlets for integrating distributed applications in a WEB environment.

This Java development environment contains both a software library with standardised classes and interfaces for building custom, application-specific components and also various standard application components, such as a collection of data access components including fail-safe and data replication functionality, as well as a basic servlet-based application administration component.
