Besi Control Software

Employees of Remedy IT are assisting BESI to develop a new software operating platform called BesiCS. This new platform will be used by Meco Equipment Engineers BV and Fico to control a new generation of chip production machines.

Remedy IT's employees are providing knowledge in the area of architecture, design and implementation.
The principles of the BesiCS platform include:

• new machines are configured using BesiCS rather than being programmed;

• CORBA is used for the interaction between the various software components and PCs;

• it simplifies communication with machines from other suppliers;

• 'state of the art' technology.

BesiCS is developed for Windows NT and VxWorks. An operating system and compiler-independent platform is being developed using ACE/TAO.

Remedy IT is actively involved in the development of ACE and TAO and thus has direct access to the development team. Remedy IT is also helping develop the documentation for ACE/TAO.
