AXCIOMA News

AXCIOMA v2.0.0 available!

Remedy IT is pleased to announce the availability of AXCIOMA 2.0.0! This major releases provides full support for the AXCIOMA Execution Framework (ExF) for all connector types.

The AXCIOMA Execution Framework (ExF) provides developers full concurrency control for component based applications.

AXCIOMA ExF decouples middleware event generation/reception and component event handling in such a way that the component developer is guaranteed to be safe from threading and code re-entrancy issues without losing the ability to fully use multithreaded architectures to scale applications.

AXCIOMA ExF will capture and encapsulate events for any interaction pattern or connector implementation (synchronous requests, asynchronous replies, state and/or data events, or custom connectors) allowing them to be asynchronously scheduled and subsequently handled in a serialized manner.

AXCIOMA supports the design, development, and deployment of a distributed Component Based Architecture (CBA). It is the component framework enabling the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Free evaluation versions for Windows and Linux are available on request! For more information about the features and capabilities see axcioma.com.

AXCIOMA v1.1.0 available!

Remedy IT is pleased to announce the availability of AXCIOMA 1.1.0! This minor releases extends our Windows support to include DDS4CCM using RTI Connext© DDS 5.2.3. All packages are available on our support portal.

For more information about the features and capabilities see axcioma.com.

AXCIOMA v1.0.0 available!

Remedy IT is pleased to announce the availability of AXCIOMA 1.0! This first major release has a lot of features and capabilities. All packages are available on our support portal.

The AXCIOMA 1.0 release is the result of several years of development dedicated to the creation of a more modern (using the OMG IDL to C++11 language mapping), complete, stable, and flexible implementation of the LwCCM and several related specifications.

Leveraging the advantages of the OMG IDL to C++11 language mapping, AXCIOMA enables an easier and safer C++11 implementation of the component business code.

AXCIOMA supports the design, development, and deployment of a distributed Component Based Architecture (CBA). It is the component framework enabling the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

AXCIOMA supports state, event, request-reply, and timed trigger based interaction patterns based on a suite of OMG open standards.

AXCIOMA provides out of the box State and Event based interaction support using RTI Connext© DDS 5.2.0. The State and Event interaction support is provided through a DDS based implementation according to the OMG DDS for Lightweight CCM (DDS4CCM) specification.

The Request/Reply interaction is provided using a CORBA based implementation with support for asynchronous messaging as defined by the OMG Asynchronous Method Invocation for CCM (AMI4CCM) specification.

AXCIOMA provides an open and dynamically configurable set of deployment tools that can be configured or extended to fit any system requirement.

This release is available for dozens of Linux flavors (32bit and 64bit), Windows (32bit and 64bit) using Visual Studio 2015 and MinGW-w64, and Android.

For more information about the features and capabilities see axcioma.com.

New AXCIOMA release v0.5.0

The new AXCIOMA 0.5.0 release has the following major improvements and extensions:

  • Extended documentation

  • Reduced footprint and lines of code generated by RIDLC for AXCIOMA

  • The container service registry is now available through the new the_service_registry attribute of your component context instead of through three separate operations

  • Support for 32bit Linux

  • Deprecated the pragma ciao lem: this is automatically determined by the RIDL compiler

  • Request/reply interaction support using CORBA is delivered through CORBA connectors and not implicitly through the generated LwCCM servant code

  • DDS::traits for users that want to program DDS directly using C++11

  • Updated ACE/TAO, TAOX11, and MPC to the latest and greatest

  • Reduced dependencies in the core libraries and unit tests

  • Large amount of smaller fixes and improvements

New v1.4.0 release

TAOX11 simplifies the development of your CORBA based applications using the IDL to C++11 language mapping.

The IDL to C++11 language mapping is far more easy to use compared to the IDL to C++ mapping and greatly reduces the CORBA learning curve. The new memory management semantics significantly reduce the possibility of common user mistakes thereby greatly improving application stability and reliability. Additionally the support of new to C++11 language features offers ample opportunity for significant improvements of run-time performance.

We are pleased to announce that a new TAOX11 release including evaluation packages for Windows and Linux is now available at our software support portal.
